My first problem area will be rust under the door and body. F.I. It was not as bad as it was from the early side and obviously there was nothing worse than the carbs in the past. Bosch is a bit more stable but any owner of his right mind will work on them. The spica unit was repairable (I proved to be against my '79 Velocce my '79 'GVV) and it is usually replacing the injector.
Worse than most other cars. A fracture throttle wire fraying until it snaps from somewhere. Carry at least a 10-speed brake cable on the occasion and it will provide you with a home and a new cable. The synchromesh in tranny is well-known for a short lifetime but most of us have learned to live with it. Why is expensive and difficult? Those are probably the worst so check the body for the first repair.
Electric Definitely mentioned earlier. Also, older ones are problematic in spica. Until I set your heart for a rainy season, next year will look for bosh. Looking around some serious and not jump at first you see. Join the Alpha Romeo Owners Club, and see if there is a local section in your area.
